Note: Due to the content of the plot, the age limit will be set to 18 years of age. Note 2: Muggleborn slaves are NOT allowed to create private sections within their journal. (I.E: [Private to self], [private to so-and-so], etc). Note 3: It is impossible for a muggleborn to hide their blood. Each person undergoes a wand 'blood test' to determine the purity of yru blood. Note 4: In each of the rules I have one letter bolded and italicized, these letters will answer the "Hidden Phrase" part of the application. Why did I scatter letters about? It's to ensure you read the rules. So, read them carefully! I'm not about to slack on that part of the application! =P Note 5: RP is in third person past tense and journals are written in first person. Note 6: PB's must be real people/celebs. You may not use drawings or anime/cartoon characters.
1. RP time will go like this: 3 real days will equal 1 RP day. So, since I think I'm giving good sufficient time for people to do RPs, I'd like it if you could post at least one post once a week. Journals should have entries once every two weeks, since 3 days=1 day.
2. I like to write nice full paragraphs when I RP and I hate when people reply with one sentence. So, this is going to be completely banned. RP posts should be more than a sentence.
3. No internet speak in either Journal or RP and no American slang. I cringe when I see fanfics with Harry trying to speak like he's ghetto fab.
4. Unless they're muggleborn, most wizards/witches don't know much about the muggle world. So, putting them down as listening to "Drop it like it's hot" isn't going to work here. And as for journal names, try to keep them dealing with something with your character. No l337 names and no HeRmIoNe type names, don't give people a headache, please? =P
5. NC-17 content in RPs is accepted. However, it should be tasteful. This isn't a porn RPG and most likely there may be some players that are under 17 here. The RP should NOT just be about NC-17 content, it should have a reason to it and if the reason is just to RP sex, then you will be kicked after the first offense. I'd also like for it to be very rare in the RP threads. Like I said, this isn't a Porn/Hentai RPG and threads shouldn't be all about that. You don't need too much NC-17 content to get your rp-plot understood. Also, if you are going to have even the tiniest amount of NC-17 content or even R content, then please indicate it in your post.
6. Keep OOC conflicts with other players in IMs or Messengers or whatever. Do not bring it to any of the communities on here and better yet, don't bring it into RP. If you're Char A and are dating Char B and suddenly Player A is fighitng Player B but their characters are still madly in love, then dont' make it that suddenly Char A is mad at Char B or suddenly they get amnesia... If you want them to break up, then make it within reason in the RP not because you don't like them IRL. Either way, try your best to get along with your fellow players and if a conflict does come up that you feel may interfer with a RP you're doing, then bring it up to one of the mods. Another thing, respect the Mods. We are friendly people but if we say something isn't allowed, it's not allowed. If you don't like it, deal with it or leave. We're not going to bow to you and change what you want because you want to have a four year old fit.
7. Homosexual couples are allowed...however, keep it in moderation please. 90% of the population is not homosexual just because you think it should be. And dont' make your character homosexual just for the hot boy on boy sex in RP...because if you read rule 5, you'd know those types of RPs aren't allowed. Same goes for heterosexual couples. If you're going to make a couple, please make it a reasonable reason. Don't just make it that they instantly like each other, go out, dump each other, and go to someone else. This is a RP with a plot, not Hogwarts Hook-up Central. Also, if someone doesn't want their character with yours, dont' force it on them. It's one thing showing a character pine for someone who doesn't want them, it's another being completely psycho and assuming you're characters are together just because you want them to.
8. All major plot is ultimately decided by the mods. If you have an idea, come to us or post it up on the OOC board and we'll debate over it. We're not Hitler, we will listen to ideas and think about them but don't suddenly decide what Harry's going to do in some major plotline without our permission first. Also, for sub-plots involving other characters, make sure you have their permission before you post up a thread that invites them to enter a RP. Also, keep in mind that you play YOUR character, not others. So, no God-moding, meaning you don't say someone else's lines for them or do posts, act out things for their characters unless you have permission to do so by that character's player.
9. Journal entries must have the date of the current RP date. To do this when you update your journal just change the date above and do NOT have backdate entry checked. RP threads should also have the day that it happens in the RP world.
10. This is an AU Post-Hogwarts RPG. However, canon is respected. So no odd behavior for characters. Meaning, Snape is not suddenly a nice, sweet, kind guy who smiles all the time and loves Harry like the baby boy he never knew.
11. RP posts are in third person. Actions are not done with *'s etc. Journal entries are in first person. Also, if journal entries are not labelled as being private or viewable only to certain people, then please keep in mind that ALL will be able to see the entry. What I mean is, you would have to make a LJ cut which goes like this <*lj-cut text="[Private to so and so]"*> ((without the *s)) and that indicates you have a private entry only viewable to "So and so". Without that, without some type of indication that your entry is only viewable or hidden to some, then everyone will be able to see it. Just keep that in mind.
Most of all just have fun! This isn't a job, it's a place we can roleplay and have fun together.
Note on RP threads: The threads must be started in this way:
