It was the year 1997, many knew not of the dangers that surrounded them. It was merely just another year to them. However, for Harry Potter it was anything but. It was in his Sixth year that he had discovered the existence of horcruxes used to keep Lord Voldemort forever alive. It was that same year that he had lost one of his greatest allies and mentors. If it were anyone else, they would’ve crumbled under the pressure…but Harry did not. Now, he had found himself ready to travel in search of each horcrux, along with his very best friends Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger. He was prepared to destroy them, to destroy Voldemort and it was beginning to look like he actually might be able to.

It was the final battle, and only Harry and Voldemort remained while Ron and Hermione were currently occupied with a few remaining Death Eaters. It was a grueling battle and quite close, Voldemort now living with Harry’s blood within him and almost at his full powers once more. It seemed like hours, or perhaps days, or maybe even weeks, or even years that the two had battled. Harry was growing considerably weaker. Granted, he was the ‘Boy-who-lived’ but now he was the boy who’s blood was in Voldemort, the same blood that granted him the protection that had once saved his life. It didn’t even help matters that he was only merely 17 and had not even finished his schooling.

He felt his life draining from him and was about to give up, silently hoping that Ron and Hermione could somehow save the day from his blunder…but there was someone else that wasn’t going to let him give up, and it wasn’t his two pre-occupied friends. Ginny, the one he had fought with the night before the trio had left the Burrow, refusing to allow her to come along, had appeared before him. She looked like an angel and it was then he had really believed he died. She looked to him with overly concerned eyes and whispered loving words. “I love you…you must go on…it has to be you…” And with that, she threw herself over him just as Voldemort shouted out “AVADA KEDAVRA!” The green light blinded him and suddenly, everything went black. When he reawakened, it was weeks later, and Hermione and Ron were hovering over him. He looked about himself and noticed strange surroundings and even snow outside the window. Yes, at Hogwarts in Scotland it snowed…but never in London…never in Little Whinging.

Hermione had taken him aside and explained the situation, how Voldemort had collapsed after using the most forbidden curse and that once Ron and Hermione defeated their own Death Eaters, they sought him out, finding the collapsed Voldemort as well as his passed out self. They had taken him before Voldemort had any chance of recovering and immediately sought refuge at 12 Grimmauld Place, where they stayed for a good week. However, as the days went by and they realised that Voldemort was only out of commission for a short while, it became apparent that somehow he won the power struggle and it was no longer safe for them to stay in England any longer. So, remembering her old friend Viktor Krum, Hermione took upon the chance to contact him. He took the two in, even the glaring Ron, as well as the still unconscious Harry. It was there that became their new refuge for the time being. It was around that time that, due to a misunderstanding with Ron, Hermione started a relationship with Viktor. They stayed there for a good year until they received word from Remus Lupin that it was becoming just a bit safer for them in England. Well, it wasn’t exactly safe…but now with a place to hide, seeing as Grimmauld Place didn’t prove to be as safe as it had been, and new disguises for each of them, they were able to reside in England once more. Before leaving, Hermione, along with Ron and Harry who now both trusted Viktor due to the refuge he provided, entrusted their new location to him. Unfortunately, this move would be the cause of their demise.

Harry had now become a shell of what he was, still mourning over the death of his love. It didn’t help matters that she had died protecting him but with the help of Ron and Hermione, he somehow managed to be at least barely alive. In this time, Voldemort was slowly regaining full power. He had already casted Imperius on several political officials of several countries, working his way to world domination. Exactly two years after the battle that had killed Ginevra Weasley, 1999, he managed to accomplish that. Muggles were out casted, those that were once high class…now regarded as the lowest of low. Muggle-borns were treated as slaves, due to the fact they possessed magic that would benefit their masters unlike regular muggles. Muggle-born babies were taken from their families and raised until they were 13, which is when they would be sold into slavery.

Approximately two months after their move back to England...they were betrayed. Viktor Krum had disappeared and before the trio could realise what was happening, their hideaway had been infiltrated. A devious Draco Malfoy, along with Gregory Goyle, and Vincent Crabbe broke into 12 Grimmauld Place, intent on claiming Draco Malfoy's newest slave...Hermione Granger. The trio's struggle ended in failure, with a broken Harry and Ron watching as Hermione was taken away. Harry was assigned to the Division of the Destruction of the Order of the Phoenix, a group made specifically to seek out Order members and place them in prison. Ron was placed into the Committee for Muggleborn Welfare, a committee merely set up for show in case Ministries of other Nations (particularly the United States) caught wind of the slavery of muggleborns. For at least a year, neither saw Hermione.

This is all about to change, as frustrations grow and whispers of a resistance spread. Soon, very soon, the Dark Lord's Kingdom is in danger of falling.
